Welcome!
I thought for our second blog post I'd share somethings about why I started The Pawfect Patisserie!
I'm Cassie, the owner, founder and creative behind The Pawfect Patisserie. I began The Pawfect Patisserie back in 2021, I started at Maitland Community Markets until Covid hit us again in 2021 and then I decided to focus on our online store being able to showcase all of our products in one place.
I have always loved dogs and as I grew up I began to discover the difference between supermarket foods and treats and the more boutique and quality treats and foods and the effects that they can have on our best friends. When I was only 10 years old I got a puppy, her name was Angel, she was an interesting little character. Angel was a Jack Russel x Poodle x Maltese x Shihtzu, due to her many breeds she unfortunately suffered from many different health issues one being serious allergies which caused her to be always itchy meaning she would lick and scratch constantly and end up with red raw feet and no fur on them- the poor baby. When we sought vet help they would prescribe injections or tablets that worked initially but eventually the effect would wear off and she would be itchy again.
Through research as she and I both got older we began to change her diet to the higher meat variety of foods, whilst this was an expensive exercise feeding her brands such as Ziwi Peak and Frontier Pets we discovered that she was less itchy and overall, a happier dog. By the way these are still foods that I highly recommend and still feed my dogs now. My Frenchie Arlo loves Frontier and it really agrees with him and his sensitive stomach. My shihtzu girls also loove Frontier and I can definitely notice the difference with Poppy who has hip dysplasia and luxatating patellas that when she isn't on Frontier she is definitely more stiff and sore.
So when I began The Pawfect Patisserie it was important for me to stock only high quality treats and to make all my baked treats and cakes as healthy as possible, low in fat and have health benefits if possible.
Our mission is to have healthy and tasty treats for your dogs that you can rely on being awesome quality and made to Australian standards. All of our treats are human grade.
We hope you enjoyed reading about why I began The Pawfect Patisserie.
